Kato 10-1834 Series E353 ‘Azusa/Kaiji’ 4 Cars Set (N scale)

Series E353, which started commercial operation in December 2017, is the successor to the E257 series and E351 series, which were previously active in [Azusa] and [Kaiji]. It adopts an air spring type car body tilting device, and it is a major feature that it has the same curve passing performance as Series E351.
The simple yet powerful design, with its alpine white body and Azusa violet band, symbolizes the next-generation limited express train. Currently active in “Super Azusa”, “Azusa” and “Kaiji”.

– Prototype S203 + S103 formation belonging to Matsumoto Rolling Stock Center
– The shape of the head with a sense of speed and the paint color of the powerful design are realistically reproduced just like the actual vehicle.
– Kato’s original body tilting mechanism is adopted. The car body is tilted to realistically reproduce the realistic curve passage scene approaching the actual car.
– The antennas on the roof are already installed, the central body of the cooler is unpainted stainless steel, and the front and rear covers are painted silver.
– Employment of a slotless motor realizes even smoother and quieter running.
– A body mount close coupler (without hook) is used for the intermediate connecting part. The front part of cars 1 and – 12 adopts a dummy coupler that reproduces the form with a cover. -At the top of cars 3 and 4, a body mount close coupler (without hook) that reproduces the Dentsu part is adopted.
– Headlights / taillights lit. All 5 headlights are on
– The seats inside the car are reproduced in bluish purple for the regular car and brown for the green car.
– Car number, non-smoking notation, wheelchair notation printed
– Destination display sticker included. Abundant destinations such as “Super Azusa”, “Azusa”, and “Kaiji” will be recorded
– When all 3 sets are arranged, all 12 cars can be stored in the book case of the add-on set and the attached formation set. The book case of the attached formation set has been changed to a specification that can also store the basic set (4 cars). It can be carried even in a compact arrangement of 4 + 3 cars.
